Day 1 - Tuesday, April 10
Meals: On own today
5:30 pm     Coach arrives for loading at Highland Elementary in Owensboro, KY.
6:00 pm     Depart for Washington D.C. with rest stops, driver change & meal breaks en route.

Day 2 – Wednesday, April 11
Included Meals: $5 Breakfast allotment, $10.00 Lunch Allotment, Pizza & drinks at hotel
Breakfast stop and time to freshen up before today’s activities
8:30 am     At the Arlington National Cemetery you will have the opportunity to visit the 500 acre site that contains the graves of President John F. Kennedy, his wife Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and his brothers, Robert and Ted Kennedy. You will view the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers that is changed every hour on the hour in an elaborate ritual.
9:15 am     Wreath Laying Ceremony
11:30 am   Depart for the Smithsonian Institution, encompassing more than a dozen different buildings and a must see on any Washington DC visit! Start at the Castle, the Smithsonian Information Center and plan your strategy! Choose a few of the museums and see them well. Many options for lunch while here.
3:30 pm     Holocaust Museum “Remember the Children: Daniel’s Story” an exhibition for children, opened at the Museum in 1993. It presents the history of the Holocaust in ways that children can understand.
5:00 pm     Depart for hotel   
6:00 pm     Check into hotel
Driver must be off duty at 6:00 pm.
6:30 pm     Pizza and drinks at hotel

Day 3 – Thursday, April 12
Included Meals: Breakfast, $9.00 Lunch voucher, & Dinner at Hard Rock
6:00 am     Breakfast available at the hotel.
7:00 am     Depart for Washington DC
8:00 am     White House Picture stop and Souvenir shopping.
9:20 am     Capital Tour, The United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. It has housed the meeting chambers of the Senate and the House of Representatives for over two centuries.
11:30 pm  Depart for Mt Vernon is our nation’s first president’s home. At Mount Vernon, your group will be welcomed and given special opportunities to experience Washington’s home, take in panoramic views, visiting Washington’s tomb, seeing the innovative Pioneer Farmer site with its 16-sided barn, the inspirational Slave Memorial, important outbuildings, lush gardens, and museums with exhibitions on Washington and Mount Vernon archaeology.  Everyone will receive a Food Court lunch voucher.
4:00 pm     Depart for dinner
6:00 pm     Hard Rock Cafe Dinner
7:30 pm     Depart for illumination tour of the monuments
9:00 pm     Depart for hotel

Day 4 – Friday, April 13
Included Meals: Breakfast, $7.00 Lunch allotment and $10.00 Dinner allotment
6:30 am     Breakfast at the hotel
7:00 am     Coach available for loading
7:30 am     Depart for DC
8:30 am     You will be joined by a knowledgeable local expert that will give a half day guided tour of Washington, DC. You’ll hear about the history and events that shaped our country. Visit the National Memorials and Monuments, see federal buildings and more.
12:30 pm   Lunch at the Old P.O Pavilion
2:00 pm    Smithsonian Institute, the world's largest museum and research complex, with 19 museums, 9 research centers and more than 140 affiliate museums around the world.
3:30 pm     Depart for Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum which displays aircraft and space artifacts in hangar-size galleries.
5:30 pm     Load the coach and depart for home with rest stops and driver exchange en route.
8:00 pm     Dinner Buffet at Ryan’s.
